What Is G1 Golf?

An All In One Beginner Golf Learning Program

G1 Golf is an all-in-one beginner golf learning program built specifically for young kids. We partner with churches, YMCAs, and community organizations to run beginner golf camps and clinics right in local gyms and ball fields — no golf course required.

Our games-based curriculum teaches kids ages 3–9 the four fundamentals of golf — putting, chipping, pitching, and the full swing — using modified, age-appropriate equipment that sets them up for early success. But we don't stop at golf. Every G1 experience also weaves in character-building life skills and virtues like patience, kindness, self-control, and perseverance — so kids walk away better players and better people.

The Problem

Why Golf Needs a Fresh Start

Golf has an access problem. More than 60% of American families can't afford to put their kids into youth sports — and golf sits at the top of the cost barrier. Between pricey equipment, course fees, and lessons that aren't designed for little kids, most families never even consider it.

G1 Golf changes that. We bring the game off the course and into the places where kids already are — community centers, churches, schools, and recreation departments. We supply all the equipment, keep costs in line with other youth rec sports, and use a teaching approach that actually works for young learners. It's golf, reimagined from the ground up.

The #1 Reason Kids Quit Any Sport Is Because It Is Not Fun. G1 Golf is designed to make golf fun from the very beginning!

How We're Different

Changing The Game

We do beginner golf differently. G1 programs are easy to run, designed for young learners, and can take place in gyms, ball fields, and community spaces — no golf course required.

Affordable

We provide all the golf learning equipment for every G1 experience, so parents don't need to buy a thing. Our pricing stays competitive with other youth recreation programs, and we fund scholarships for families and communities that need extra support.

Accessible

No golf course? No problem. G1 programs run in gymnasiums, soccer fields, multipurpose rooms — any flat space works. We bring golf directly into local neighborhoods, opening the door for kids who'd never otherwise get the chance to pick up a club.

Actually Fun

Traditional golf instruction doesn't work for a five-year-old. Our games-based curriculum keeps kids moving, laughing, and learning through play. Modified equipment like oversized clubs, soft learning balls, and colorful targets makes it easy for little hands to connect and feel that rush of early success.

Golf Skills

Kids learn the four foundational golf skills — putting, chipping, pitching, and the full swing — all taught through games, repetitive motions, and learning rhymes that stick long after camp ends.

Life Skills & Character

Every G1 experience includes faith-based, character-building curriculum developed in-house. Kids learn virtues like patience, faithfulness, integrity, and self-control in a way that's fun, memorable, and age-appropriate.

Multi-Sport Skills

We mix in disc golf, soccer, and other sports to teach direction, distance, and coordination. It's a multi-sport approach that builds well-rounded athletes and keeps the energy high.

How It Works

What a G1 Experience Looks Like

Picture six colorful stations set up across a gym floor or outdoor field. Kids rotate through each one — practicing a different golf skill at every stop — while coaches guide them with games and encouragement. There's a central safety zone, age-appropriate equipment at each station, and enough structure to keep things moving without sucking the fun out of it.

Our programs work indoors or outdoors, and the station-based format means coaches can manage large groups while still giving individual attention. Whether it's a week-long camp, a weekend clinic, or an after-school program, G1 experiences are designed to be easy to set up and run.

Forget about adult-sized clubs and range balls. Every station is stocked with specialized, modified equipment made for kids ages 3–9 — lightweight putters, oversized learning clubs, soft training balls, turf mats, bullseye targets, velcro discs, safety circles, and air-golf flyers. Everything is included with every G1 partnership — no extra purchases needed.
